LVMH announces the list of the 20 candidates shortlisted for the semi-final to be held on 4th and 5th March 

The thirteenth edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers has once more confirmed its success, with over 2,400 applicants from all over the world. 

After the applications closed, 20 young fashion houses were selected to take part in the semi-final (see list below), to be held on 4th and 5th March. The semi-finalists come from 17 countries, including, for the first time, Georgia, Kenya and Thailand, reflecting the cultural and creative diversity of the Prize. 

 

Delphine Arnault declares: 

“I am delighted by the worldwide success of the LVMH Prize. Once again, I have the privilege of unveiling a shortlist of remarkable talents. Their collections span contemporary elegance, bold designs and even one-of-a-kind pieces. Craftsmanshipand research into materials lie at the heart of their creations. This year’s 20 semi-finalists come from major fashion capitals, as well as, for the first time, Georgia, Kenya and Thailand. I am also pleased to welcome back Kartik Research, a semi-finalist in 2023. I wish to congratulate all the semi-finalists and look forward to meeting them at our showroom, which will take place for thefirst time this year at La Samaritaine, an iconic landmark in the heart of Paris.” 

 

The 20 semi-finalists will showcase their collections at the semi-final showroom in Paris on 4th and 5th March 2026. 

During the semi-final, eight finalists will be selected by the LVMH Prize committee of Experts, which includes over 80 fashion industry specialists. In addition, from 4th to 8th March, the public will also have the opportunity to discover the designers and, alongside the Experts, vote fortheir eight favourite brands via the digital platform lvmhprize.com

THE LVMH PRIZE INCLUDES THREE AWARDS: 

The LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers comes with a 400,000-euro endowment. The winner enjoys a one-year bespoke mentorship by LVMH. 

The Karl Lagerfeld Prize also distinguishes the creativity of a young brand and comes with a 200,000-euro endowment as well as a one-year mentorship programme. 

The most recently added Savoir-Faire Prize focuses on exceptional craftsmanship, artisanal expertise as well as innovation and sustainability in a young brand. Together with a 200,000-euro endowment, the winner will also enjoy a one-year specific mentoring programme dedicated to encouraging the transmission of skills in these areas. 

Moreover, the Prize distinguishes three young fashion school graduates. Each winner, as well as their school, will receive 10,000 euros and join the design studio of one of the group’s houses for one year.
