The ninth edition of the annual Montfermeil Cultures and Creation fashion show took place on February 8 and welcomed over a thousand of spectators. Showcasing an open spirit, originality and excellence, the annual event is sponsored by LVMH with the active support from Guerlain.
Initiated in 2005 by the Montfermeil City Hall and local associations, the event has since then successfully combined exacting craftsmanship and excellence, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit - the values shared by LVMH and its Houses.
The show creates compelling bridges among the 40 different communities from Africa, Asia and Europe who are present in Montfermeil, making the show a tribute to diversity. For participants, who were invited to integrate the four elements in their works, clothing became a unique channel of expression of their vibrant cultural identity.
This year’s Young Talent Award went to Lionel Morin, who will receive support from the Group to show his creations during a fashion-dedicated show. The winner will also receive personal creative mentoring from a member of LVMH Group.
The jury, comprised of personalities of the fashion world and employees of the Group, has also honored Maryse Boucher for her works in the “kids” category and Domingos Moreira Almeida for his adult creations. The prizes have been awarded by Christian Sanchez, Director of Social Development of LVMH, while Guerlain President Laurent Boillot was also in attendance.
Last year’s winner Anais Guille has since embarked on a remarkable journey, highlighting the relevance of this partnership.
