Chic & vintage
For Fall/Winter 2011 RTW at Loewe, Stuart Vevers offers a modern variation on the classic Sixties references: the result is an ultra-chic look, which the Spanish House develops around the combination and richness of the skins textures–leather, nappa, suede, ostrich and nubuck. The whole collection is thus reworked in unique and imaginative fashion—whether in imitation leather or honeyed shearling.
Carved out of very thick leathers, the Loewe trench-coats come in a range of bright colors—carmine, cognac or cobalt blue. The chocolate-colored suits structure the silhouette, while a coat in caramel ostrich-skin with voluminous sleeves structures the shoulders in a vintage spirit. Another desirable whim: a rigid leather top fashioned like an Ascot blouse.
