On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, LVMH is delighted to host today an event in London at the LVMH House entitled "EllesVMH: Women in Leadership" with 40 of the Group’s top women worldwide.
Hosted by Chantal Gaemperle, Group Executive Vice President, Human Resources & Synergies, this day will be led by Bridget Farrands, author of Lost in Transition, a book of research on leaders' personal experiences of making transitions to senior roles and Professor Rob Goffee of London Business School who leads the LVMH Leadership forum.
Three main topics will be addressed: Womenomics, the business challenges for women, men and organisations; Women in leadership; Making transitions into senior roles.
The nature of the businesses of LVMH Moët Hennessy creates a special affinity with women, who account for over two-thirds of the Group's workforce. This event is an opportunity to confirm the Group’s commitment to women's professional development in all positions and at every level of the organisation.
Over the last four years, the LVMH group announced several noteworthy commitments and initiatives:
- Increase the number of women on executive committees;
- Ensure greater representation in succession plans for influential positions;
- Develop networking actions through forums, allowing women at every level to exchange experiences with one another;
- Systematically present women’s applications for any open position, thus feeding the talent pipeline.
In 2011, LVMH continues to build on these commitments through this and other events.
