LVMH Prize

Because both our roots and our future are intimately linked to creativity, LVMH and its brands have always actively nourished creative talent. Guided by this vision, the Group is very proud to launch the LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize in 2013.

Open to designers under 40 years old who have created at least two women’s or men’s ready-to-wear collections, the LVMH Prize is a groundbreaking  award in terms of its concept, content and international scope.

Each year a jury composed of exceptional members will have the privilege of designating the most promising talent from among the candidates. The young fashion designer whose work and vision wins the hearts and minds of the jury will receive a grant of 300,000 euros The winner will also benefit from personalized assistance from LVMH teams for a period of twelve months after the prize award, spanning a variety of areas such as intellectual property, marketing, production and distribution. In addition, the LVMH Prize will recognize three young graduates of fashion design schools, who will each receive a 10,000-euro grant and have a chance to join the design team at an LVMH brand for one year.

This project was originated by Delphine Arnault, member of the board of LVMH and Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, who underlines the importance of an initiative that celebrates the values of our Group, as well as the clear vision of the goal of the prize: nourish the vitality and creativity of the fashion ecosystem on an international scale.
