Acqua di Parma has been a leading player in the luxury sector for almost 100 years. Its history began in a small Italian perfume factory in Parma, synonymous with savoir-vivre in during the time of Verdi and later elevated to romantic dignity in Stendhal’s writing. The brand was established in 1916 with Colonia, an iconic fragrance that has inspired the Acqua di Parma world and the House’s values: the best of Italian lifestyle, a passion for beauty, an eye for detail, and a contemporary interpretation of luxury.

In the sixties, the reputation of the cologne inspired the launch of a new range of products carrying Acqua di Parma’s name, values and codes. Over the years the brand has expanded its product range, introducing Colonia Assoluta, Colonia Intensa and Colonia Essenza, Collezione Barbiere, Le Nobili, Blu Mediterraneo and the Blu Mediterraneo Italian Resort ranges, Home Fragrance, the Home Collection, and the Tournée Collection (leather accessories). Acqua di Parma supplies the suites of the most beautiful and exclusive hotels in the world with its Luxury Hotel Line. Since May 2008, Acqua di Parma has entered the world of luxury spas with Blu Mediterraneo SPA.

Each product is exquisitely wrought entirely by hand, in the spirit of ancient Italian craftsmanship at small selectively chosen Italian laboratories where the secrets of the trade are handed down from one generation to the next. Only the very best, most exclusive materials are used in this process.

Acqua di Parma has continually celebrated the essence of Italian style through its support of relevant events and cultural sponsorships. The House has established partnerships with Maserati, the Perini Navi Cup and the Mille Miglia. This famous historical car race is held every year and follows international VIP teams throughout Italy on enchanting picturesque routes. Most recently, Acqua di Parma has celebrated Italian cultural and the country’s exquisite landscapes with a prestigious coffee table book dedicated to aristocratic Italian gardens: “Il Giardino Nobile”.
