Guerlain Perfumer was established in Paris in 1828.
Its founder, Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, opened the House’s first boutique in the heart of the capital, at 42 Rue de Rivoli. Elegant ladies were already snapping up his fragrance creations and beauty products.
180 years later, five successive generations of perfumers in succession have held the House’s creative reins. More than 800 fragrances have been composed creating an incomparable olfactory heritage and a unique expertise. In 2008, the torch was passed on to Thierry Wasser. Like his predecessors, he develops the most audacious compositions and travels the world in search of the most exclusive raw materials.
Guerlain’s audacity shines through also shines through with it’s make up products developed by the talented and imaginative Olivier Echaudemaison. Each product is an exceptional object. And it is this same audacity that inspires the brand to turn to nature for research inspiration and for the carefully selected ingredients that are used to create exceptional skincare products.
By handing down gestures and expertise, driven by their love of the sublime, over the years the creative designers and craftsmen of Guerlain have pursued the same insatiable quest for beauty.
Today, Shalimar, Habit Rouge, Orchidée Impériale, Terracotta and La Petite Robe Noire are a testimony to this outstanding excellence.
In 2012, one place epitomises this exploration of aesthetes - 68, Champs-Elysées: a mythical address for a unique House.
