Position

We are currently seeking a strategic and dynamic Human Resources Director for a 10-month maternity cover contract based in our Sydney office (August 2024 – June 2025). This is a key leadership role within our organization overseeing the People operations across Australia and New Zealand, leading a strong and passionate team of six HR professionals to support our business objectives and foster an engaging organizational culture.

While no day is ever the same, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and execute the local People Roadmap, aligned with central HR priorities and the overall business plan.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the HR team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
  • Oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes including talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, diversity & inclusion, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Provide strategic leadership through partnership with the ANZ executive management team.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure the full adherence to local compliance requirements.
  • Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
  • Manage change effectively using strategies that ensure organizational effectiveness.
  • Handle complex HR projects cross-functionally, and internationally.
