Art and Design are a key source of inspiration for our Maisons to unveil splendid creations. For Design Miami, Fendi and Maison Francis Kurkdjian presented a three-dimensional distinctive creation where touch, smell and sight took center stage: FENDIFRENESIA. In this project, Francis Kurkdjian created for the Roman Maison a gender fluid eau de parfum whose leathery and musky notes reflect the nobility and fluidity of the Selleria leather. Thanks to the patented technique that the perfumer owns since 2014, Francis Kurkdjian combined its eau de parfum to the iconic FENDI Baguette created by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997, reviving again the tradition of scenting the leather. Feeling and visualizing a fragrance is an evocative, inimitable and evanescent experience– a FENDI synaesthesia. Christelle Boulé, Canadian-Swiss artist and photographer, was appointed to capture the Soul of this new Fendi x Maison Francis Kurkdjian creation. #LVMH #FendiBaguette #maisonfranciskurkdjian #FendiXDesignMiami

Art and Design are a key source of inspiration for our Maisons to unveil splendid creations. For Art Basel Miami, Ruinart presents a collaboration with artist Vik Muniz who created a series of 6 photographic works inspired by winegrowers and vineyards facing challenging natural conditions each season. Through the use of organic elements such as pieces of blackened wood, charcoal or chardonnay leaves, Vik Muniz’ photographs highlight our perception of scale and play with our senses. He captured the deep relationships between humans and nature, winegrowers and vines, Ruinart and the Champagne terroir; emphasizing the creative tension that transforms adversity into wonder. Artist Vik Muniz and Ruinart chose to associate with Imazon, a NGO dedicated to preserving the Amazon rainforest. The benefits of the sale of 30 copies of the emblematic Chardonnay leaf artwork created and signed by Vik Muniz went directly to Imazon to support the protection of the Amazon Rainforest. #LVMH #Ruinart #Artbaselmiami

Art and Design have always been a key source within the inspirational material that helps our Maisons unveil splendid creations. For Art Basel Miami, Berluti’s creative director Kris Van Assche and François Laffanour of Galerie Downtown presented a small series of original Pierre Jeanneret pieces, created by the Swiss Architect in the 1950s in order to furnish Chandigarh’s Capitol Complex, in India. This furniture, restored by François Laffanour, has been covered with the emblematic Venezia leather of the Maison Berluti. The Berluti X Laffanour Galerie Downtown series consists of 17 original and highly collectable pieces. For these unique creations, Kris Van Assche has developed an entirely new palette of colour partly based on the two colours created by Le Corbusier in 1931 and 1959 combined with the rich colours he found in the light, architecture, landscape and foliage on a recent trip to Chandigarh. #Berluti #KrisVanAssche #DesignMiami #ArtBasel

Art and Design are a key source of inspiration for our Maisons to unveil splendid creations. For almost a century FENDI has been committed to redefining luxury through the development of new materials and techniques. For Design Miami, FENDI presents a new immersive installation created by the Zurich-based design studio Kueng Caputo, known for their unconventional use of materials and playful aesthetic. This installation is made of new design pieces intended to decorate the exterior colonnade of the Maison’s iconic headquarters, the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, on the Roman outskirts. The resulting collection, entitled ‘Roman Molds’, captures the tension that has historically informed much of the Maison’s best output– traditional craft disrupted by innovation. #LVMH #Fendi #KuengCaputo #FendixDesignMiami @silviaventurinifendi

The Group and its Maisons unveil the beauty of heritage by renewing it. In the heart of Portofino harbour, among a colourful blend of Italian houses, the Maison Belmond is currently renovating one of its most authentic hotel: ‘Splendido Mare’. In days gone by, Belmond Splendido Mare was the first hotel in Portofino to offer refuge to fishermen escaping the storms. Thanks to History, the hotel is now pervaded by a delightful abyssal breeze that reminds us the good old days of the men and the sea. _ The idea behind renovating the hotel and its 14 guest rooms is to celebrate this Portofino heritage that framed the charm of the Maison’s former haven, highlighting the Italian fondness for sophistication and refinement. For this occasion, Belmond combines its excellence to the savoir-faire of Paris based designers FESTEN architecture. Together, they will create a new design drawing inspiration from Italian nautical traditions, plunging Splendido Mare’s guests into a typical Portofino fishing boat architecture. The re-opening is set for June 2020. _ 📷 @stuartcantorphotography _ #LVMH #Belmond #TheArtOfBelmond
