Position

As a Louis Vuitton Retail Director West Coast, reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will be accountable for driving, developing, and elevating the designated store network presence and positioning of the brand by delivering sales targets, maximizing on the store network, delivering exceptional Client Experiences, and optimizing retail operations. This position is located in Los Angeles, California and will oversee all retail locations in California, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.

 

While spending face to face time with Store Leaders and building trustworthy and collaborative working relationships, you will ensure all commercial opportunities are identified and capitalized on. The Regional Retail Director will be responsible for analyzing competitors, local environments, market trends and conditions while ensuring business strategies are developed to either maximize the opportunities or mitigate risks.


Profile

Development & Leadership:

 

  • Build trustworthy and collaborative working relationships with store leaders to ensure all commercial opportunities are identified and capitalized on. Daily in-store presence is required
  • Understand and analyze competition, local environment, market trends and ensure business strategies are developed to maximize on the opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with department stores and malls where Louis Vuitton has a presence

 

Team Development

 

  • Work with local HR/TA to recruit and fill critical roles in a timely manner with best-in-class talent
  • Ensure annual performance review (Rise) and succession planning review (OMR) are leveraged to set clear objectives, manage performance, develop talent and solidify succession plans
  • Drive a culture of monthly touch bases across the network and actively encourage a ‘coach in the moment’ approach to feedback in the stores
  • Work with the local Retail Learning Team and HR to guarantee all training initiatives are effectively implemented & supported across the stores (In-store inductions, daily moments, product training, New Store Opening Training, leadership development programs etc.)

 

Business Development:

 

  • Collaborate with the RVP & Store Managers to develop ambitious business plans that drive sales and create new opportunities with new & existing clients.
  • Partner with the RVP and Client Relations to explore initiatives to maximize the local market.
  • Work with RVP and Client Development to integrate CD initiatives and propose new ideas to recruit clients
  • Ensure brand positioning in terms of image and presentation in the local market is consistent with the brand’s vision, strategy and identity

 

Sales & Client Experience:

 

  • Closely monitor and analyze qualitative sales performance in all stores. Ensure stores & employees receive relevant yet challenging goals & managers are delivering timely and effective coaching & feedback
  • Collaborate with Retail Performance & Store Managers in reviewing Mystery Shopping Results and implement solutions to ensure a seamless Client Experience
  • Partner closely with the Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to ensure that all stores have the right and meaningful product assortment and availability to achieve sales goals

 

Financial & Performance Management:

 

  • Responsible for providing input for the Region’s budget and developing strategies to achieve financial targets
  • Safeguard the physical security of clients, employees, and company assets
  • Ensure internal control procedures are implemented and closely monitored

 

Retail Operations:

 

  • Work with Retail Performance to ensure optimum operational performance of the store network
  • Streamline retail operations activities and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and streamlined

 

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $225,000 - $250,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions​
