Magnum and Veuve Clicquot have brought together eight renowned photographers across five continents – Steve McCurry, Alex Webb, Trent Parke, Olivia Arthur, Lindokuhle Sobekwa, Cristina de Middel, Nanna Heitmann and Newsha Tavakolian – giving them creative carte blanche to capture the power and beauty of the Sun in photographs.

Their interpretations are presented in 40 photos, each illustrating the power of the sun across an extraordinary spectrum of emotions, shapes and colors, ranging from vast outdoor spaces to intimate interiors.

The sun has inspired Veuve Cliquot since the founding of the Maison over 250 years ago. A universal symbol of joy and optimism, the sun has a signature color reprised on Veuve Clicquot labels since 1877.

“Maison Veuve Clicquot is delighted to work with eight internationally-renowned Magnum photographers. Our exhibition reaffirms Veuve Clicquot’s deep-rooted commitment to culture and transmits our message of optimism to the entire world,” says Jean-Marc Gallot, President of Veuve Clicquot.

The exhibition premiered at Milan Design Week in a space created by designer Constance Guisset, including a Café Clicquot proposing a unique dining experience dubbed ‘Sun in your plate’.

There was also an exclusive boutique showcasing the best of Veuve Clicquot, including photography books, designer objects and the Maison’s finest cuvees.
