Position

The Manager, Indirect Purchasing is responsible for developing and executing the indirect purchasing strategy for the spend categories in scope. The position ensures the optimal procurement of goods & services essential to the company's function while monitoring spend and obtaining financial savings, utilizing a disciplined sourcing process to evaluate supplier capabilities, award business and implement contractual agreements. In addition, the position reviews purchasing procedures and monitors supplier performance whilst remaining within LVMH Group guidelines. The Manager is also responsible for additional spend categories that may be assigned from time to time.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal customers to develop category requirements and scope of work that is consistent with business needs
  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for the spend categories in scope
    • Handle the bidding process (specifications, tenders, quotations analysis, recommendations)
    • Negotiate and award business to suppliers
    • Develop and administer contractual agreements (rate cards, YER, SOWs, etc.)
  • Utilize analytical expertise to deliver measurable cost savings and spend and supplier analyses
  • Launch and manage Social & Ethical audits on suppliers
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct business reviews
  • Report on purchasing performance on a regular basis (BPC Purchasing’s 4 basic KPI’s), complete relevant Purchasing Governance file templates and monitor by-passes and waived biddings
  • Deploy LVMH group-level contracts to LVMH Beauty and monitor business conditions and performance
  • Perform value engineering studies to identify added value for cost, sustainability, and quality
  • Track purchasing compliance against internal Policies

METHODOLOGIES

  • Apply methodologies, templates and tools of the LVMH Beauty Purchasing organization
  • Liaise with Purchasing Director on a regular basis for follow-up and guidance on responsibilities and objectives
  • Communicate with other team members for benchmarking, best practices sharing and cross-functional project coordination
  • Optimize relationships with suppliers, internal customers and key support functions within the organization

Profile

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of strong category and general Procurement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Management, or related field
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and all levels of Management
  • Experience leading all stages of a structured strategic sourcing process
  • Knowledge of contract fundamentals
  • Experience dealing with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
  • Travel between East Brunswick, NJ and NYC required
