Position

  • LVMH is moving into a new Distribution center. This role will support the project team in implementing the new DC.
  • Assist with testing and validating systems such as conveyor, and conveyor control systems (WCS), print and apply functionality and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • This role will include time in office as well as a significant amount of time in the Distribution Center assisting in the testing efforts.
  • This position is based in our Cranbury Distribution Center.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of a new DC:
    • Testing:
      • Assist with Testing Warehouse management system and Conveyor system.
      • Test preparation. This could include systemically and physically preparing cartons, labels, and inventory in coordination with management team and hourly associates.
      • Help ensure functionality is performing properly. Document and communicate results.
    • Training Development: Create user training documents to support training of associates.
  • Track and provide updates on progress and timelines to project team regarding projects and initiatives
  • Conduct all other job-related activities.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Position will report to Senior Industrial Engineer

DATES: The role is primarily in the summer timeframe, specific start/end dates based upon candidate availability. Additionally, start and end dates are flexible.


Profile

  • Requires ability to stand for several hours as position will require time in the Distribution Center
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and related skills
  • Solid project, time, and self-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain or retail a plus
  • Ability to communicate and present across all levels of employees and management
  • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Requires ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
