Position

About This Role:
The Logistic & Operations Officer will lead the distribution activity of the company, animating a network of more than 40 retail, wholesale, Duty Free doors including variety sales channels, after sales logistics and Ecommerce in Korea. The position will lead the 3PL set up and day to day management of 3PL activities, animating our network of transportation/warehouse partners to optimize the flows and logistics costs. He/she will also challenge the logistic provider performance to secure logistic and deliveries to the customer execution and match expected service level at defined cost.

Responsibilities:

Activity Management

  • Respect and commit on the best customer promise with a tight control on the quality of our orders in terms of On Time In Full and Leadtime
  • Secure the dispatch of our allocated materials (new products and merchandizing) to secure the on-counter dates of our markets
  • Smooth the load of the warehouse and secure the brand turnover based on the business priority of the month
  • Ensure customs and legal compliance in the order processing management
  • Responsibilities providing relevant and reliable information (product availability, delivery lead-time, shipping contacts, claims discussions etc.) to stakeholders

Import and Export Coordination

  • Liaise with freight forwarder and HQ for the import and export process
  • Collect detail breakdown of custom declaration prepared by importer for shipments. Monthly reconciliation to ensure correct, duty rate and VAT rate
  • Inform accounting department with proof of delivery and necessary documents for invoicing to partners
  • Arrange Repair Shipments to/from partners/boutiques/HQ and to local repair vendors
  • Monitor delivery lead time and resolve issue causing shipment delay. Manage forwarder and broker w/ SOP and KPI measurements
  • Budget and Logistics Cost Control
  • Elaborate the budget for the logistics costs
  • Monitor actual expenses vs budget
  • Manage cost and performance to match logistics budgets and service levels
  • Define corrective actions to respect budget and ensure their implementation
  • Lead Cost Optimization Projects at the level of the department (transport internalization, staging costs etc.)

3PLs Management:

  • Manage contract with our Service Logistics Providers in respect to the quality and service levels defined at the level of TAG Heuer
  • Initial content with the definition of clear SLA
  • Periodic contract content review / evolution
  • Monthly and Quarterly Performance Animation and reviews with 3PLs (Transporters and Warehouse)
  • Monitor inventory levels of non-merchandise such as packaging, shopping bags, and collaterals related to store operations and request of replenishment as agreed with Retail or Operation/Brand teams
  • Monitor the operation of inbound and outbound inventory in 3PL warehouse of non-merchandise of VM or packaging/ renovation materials
  • Keep track of non-merchandise – stock management and replenish to other store upon request (bi-weekly or weekly)
  • Arrange transportation to deliver non-merchandise to other store.
  • Verify 3PL invoices to validate for payment of warehouse and handling charges, via accounting team
  • Strong understanding of ERP (ideally SAP) and systems would be required
  • Day to day communication with 3PL team to coordinate activity monitor EDI messages
  • Supervise and monitor monthly stock counting process ensuring accuracy between systems and physical stock

This role requires an experienced Logistics expert with a deep understanding of Korean import/export regulations and solid experience working with 3PL and a passion for delivering exceptional brand experiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with proven experience in the luxury retail sector, preferably in Watches and/ or Jewelry category, minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in managing 3PL
  • Good understanding of Korea import/export regulations, preferably in luxury retail sector
  • Logistics Partnership Management (warehouse and transport expertise)
  • Strong influential/negotiations skills
  • Priorities management and high tolerance to commercial and customer pressure
  • Costs and results oriented, able to work within time constraints and schedules
  • Fluent in English with Native in Korean
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills to build good relationship with internal and external partners
  • Able to prioritize and plan own workload in accordance with strict deadlines
  • Demonstrate an attitude of professionalism, conscientiousness and reliability
  • Able to work flexibly and standalone, embrace change and a dynamic work pace and to work as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
