INSIDE LVMH Program immerses university professors in the LVMH ecosystem

On October, 18 some 45 professors from leading European universities were invited to discover the ecosystem of the LVMH Group as ambassadors of the new INSIDE LVMH program. The event gave them an intimate look at LVMH from behind the scenes through an immersion into the heart of its Maisons, further strengthening ties between LVMH and prestigious partner schools. Here are some of the highlights from the day.

After creating the first chair dedicated to luxury in partnership with the ESSEC business school 30 years ago and launching the first INSIDE LVMH event in November 2016 – in which over 220 students participated – LVMH is preparing the next stage in its initiative to welcome young talents.

To strengthen cooperation with partner schools, the Group has engaged directly with 45 professors specialized in luxury, innovation and digital technologies across a variety of disciplines (from business and engineering to creation and design) from leading European universities, such as École Polytechnique (Paris), Bocconi University (Italy), IESE Business School (Spain) and Central Saint Martins (UK) (see complete list at end of article). This unique initiative sets the stage for the launch of the INSIDE LVMH Program in early 2018, underlining the pivotal role played by these educators as ambassadors and reaffirming LVMH’s strong ties with the academic community and promising talents from these schools.

On October 18, LVMH Talent Management teams invited participating professors to discover the Group from the inside. Following welcoming remarks by Chantal Gaemperle, Group EVP Human Resources & Synergies, and a series of presentations –  including a talk by Chief Digital Officer Ian Rogers on LVMH in the digital age – the professors had a chance to discover three Maisons: Louis Vuitton and its Asnières workshops; Chaumet and the Salons Chaumet in its mansion on Place Vendôme, as well as its haute-joaillerie ateliers; and Moët Hennessy and the MH Lab 78 innovation lab. The day concluded with a visit to the exhibition “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” at the Musées des Arts Décoratifs” and a cocktail reception, providing an opportunity for the professors, LVMH representatives and corporate relations teams from the schools to meet and network.
