Position location: NYC HQ
In accordance with the MH Procurement global policy and the MH USA business procedures, the Procurement Manager collaboratively engages as a business partner to the brands, by providing top quality, brand appropriate, timely, competitively sourced goods, services and business solutions that deliver value. In so doing, the Procurement Manager:
- Proactively manages a category of spend and the associated team members (brand marketing, department associates, suppliers) and communicates deliverables and expectations;
- Guarantees the realization of the projects he/she is responsible for Marketing Services, in terms of cost, time to market, quality & sustainability;
- Maintains a database of agency/supplier capabilities and interviews agencies to assess their suitability, making recommendations for engagement;
- Oversees the assigned projects, noting key deliverables and status of projects;
- Delivers monthly and quarterly reporting metrics to department Director;
- Follows the SOPs and policy set by the department Director and educates colleagues on Best Practices and Ways of Working;
Leads projects for MH USA & Millennium Maison, supports Chandon California & North America region.
Manages the Marketing Services projects under his/her defined responsibility:
Launches the RFQs to the suppliers selected from the panel, advocates strategy, analyses and benchmarks results and negotiates with the suppliers/agencies;
Selects suppliers & agencies in accordance with department strategy and manages them from a portfolio perspective;
Guarantees the achievement of the Quality, Timing and Cost objectives for each project;
Ensures the management of the schedules and goals with best-in-class project management skills;
Guarantees the technical feasibility of the project, in accordance with the SOWs;
Informs all the project members and their hierarchy on progress and timelines and manages the process and follow up to ensure timely receipt of service;
Brings a merchandising & agency knowledge, BTL & ATL marketing skill and sensibility to products and projects;
Organizes working sessions between the brands and agencies whenever needed;
Reviews, and manages the contracts and supplier/agency negotiations and feedback; tracks key contracts & expiration dates to ensure proactivity;
Submits reports to department Director on a routine timely basis (SOU, D+2, D+9);
Initializes rate cards & staffing plans to bring efficiency to the sourcing, benchmarking & negotiations processes;
Pro-actively develops and manages key stakeholders, suppliers, and agencies; develops relationships, completes scorecards, communicates feedback;
Optimizes the vision of all the projects he/she manages:
Keeps a synthetic vision of the market category and knows the main players and industry trends;
Ensures that negotiation processes are well managed and ensures strategic objectives are reached;
Manages the agency & supplier panel by evaluating suppliers and developing relationships;
Proposes innovations through Supplier / Agency Panel:
Understands the marketing category and MH business strategy and makes recommendations on new approaches;
Meets with key stakeholders regularly to have a clear picture of budgets, key projects, brand objectives, ensuring alignment;
Profile
Education : Undergraduate degree; may have Procurement and/or Marketing educational background
Languages : English - French a plus
Professional experience & know how :
Experience in Marketing Procurement ( 3/5 years) and / or Marketing
Experience in Wines & Spirits preferred
Experience in Marketing or in an agency welcomed
Technical & management skills :
Advanced agency/supplier negotiations
Excellent analytical capabilities and Excel skills and ability to create pivot tables for detailed analysis
